Apex Mining Co., Inc. (AMCI) releases its second tranche financial assistance amounting to two hundred thousand pesos (P200,000.00) each to the local Inter-Agency Task Force of the Province of Davao de Oro and Municipality of Maco of the same province.
The company also budgeted additional fund amounting to PhP 1,086,800.00 for distribution of sack of rice to its host and neighboring barangays. This week, APEX distributed sacks of rice to seven (7) barangays in Maco, Davao de Oro intended for the two thousand four hundred eighty (2,480) families as beneficiaries. There will be a next round of rice deliveries to accomplish its target for the remaining 9 barangays. The company also allocated additional budget for the distribution of hand sanitizers and disinfectants to community frontliners and Barangay Emergency Responders where twenty-five (25) Community Quarantine Checkpoints will received one (1) gallon of hand sanitizer and disinfectants weekly.
Kingking Mining Corporation (KMC) provides rice and face masks to ninety-five (95) households that have been identified by the Office of the Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative (IPMR) and the Napnapan Masaka Tribal Organization as among the poorest IPs in barangay Napnapan, Pantukan, Davao de Oro.
King Eagle Exploration and Mining Corporation turned-over thirty (30) sacks of rice to each LGUs; Brgys. Magdum & Pandapan of Tagum City, Davao del Norte; and Municipality of Pantukan of Davao de Oro for distribution to their respective one hundred fifty (150) beneficiaries/households/constituents. Also, three hundred sixty (365) kilograms of fresh bangus were distributed to ten (10) barangays in the Municipality of Pantukan and four (4) Municipal Police Office within Davao de Oro. The company also provides meals (lunch and dinner) to the frontliners assigned in some checkpoints in Tagum City, Davao del Norte.
MGBXI has been monitoring the said activities of the mining companies in the Davao Region for the sixth week already from start of the Realignment of the SDMP Funds. “We are happy about the contribution of the mining companies and their steadfast commitment to help in this fight against this Covid19 pandemic.,” says MGBXI Regiona Director, Atty.
