During an orientation seminar for sand and gravel and other quarry resources permit holders recently conducted at the Social Hall of Capitol Building of Compostela Valley Province, the Mines and Geosciences Bureau RXI community affairs officer Ryan Anthony Paran discussed Social Development Management Program.

The topic was discussed to formally introduce the law that requires sand and gravel and other quarry resources permit holders to implement developmental projects and programs to the host communities who are directly affected by their operations. This is in line with the newly approved mining policy of the Aquino administration Executive Order 079 which emphasizes environmental protection and just and equitable sharing of wealth to host communities affected by sand and gravel and quarry resources mining operations.
