The Mines and Geosciences Bureau RXI conducted information, education and communication activity at the covered court of Brgy. Kingking, Pantukan, Compostela Valley Province.

Several areas in Brgy. Kingking are known for illegal small-scale mining operations for lack of the necessary permits, these areas include puroks Panganason and Gumayan. As per inventory conducted in 2018, about 106 productive tunnels with 204 ball/rod mills   and 48 carbon-in-pulp plants have been noted to be operating in Purok Panganason. An estimated 63 productive tunnels, 89 ball/rod mills and 9 carbon-in-pulp plants have been observed to be conducting small-scale mining activity  in Purok Gumayan.

 The activity was attended by various small-scale mining cooperatives with on-going small-scale mining contract applications pending approval at the Provincial Mining Regulatory Board (PMRB). The activity covered topics: Republic Act 7076 also knows as the Small-Scale Mining Act which highlights the declaration of a Minahang Bayan or Peoples Small-scale Mining Area (PSSMA), awarding of Small-Scale Mining Contracts (SSMC) and Mineral Processing License.
