The Mines and Geosciences Bureau RXI attended the Kapihan sa PIA discussing the rehabilitation of the Naboc River. According to MGB RXI Regional Director Constancio A. Paye, Jr., a team was already dispatched to conduct initial study on the mercury content, if there is any, and volume of siltation of the Naboc River. The team, composed of representatives from various concerned agencies informed the media that a Task Force is being created to do the assessment of the status of the Naboc River particularly on its chemical contamination and the engineering aspect of the rehabilitation. As of the present, greening and planting of different species of mangrove trees are one of the activities being done to rehabilitate the Naboc River.
Among those who attended the Kapihan sa PIA to discuss the rehabilitation of the Naboc River include: Jaime Mallare of NEDA, Edgar Melo of DILG, RD Constancio Paye, Jr. of MGB RXI, ARD for Technical Services Marcia Isip and Joel Pardillo, Regional Coordinator for the Task Force Diwalwal Program Monitoring Coordination Center.
