Bantay Kita (BK) and Natural Resource Governance Institute (NRGI) conducted  a “Fiscal Modeling Workshop of Mining Process in the Philippines” in Waterfront Hotel, Davao City on October 3-5, 2017. The workshop participated by personnel from various local and national government Offices, Academe and some from Non-Government Organization (NGO) sector.

Bantay Kita (BK) is a national coalition of civil society organizations advocating for good governance in the mining, oil and gas sector and  Natural Resource Governance Institute (NRGI) provides policy advice and advocacy infused with lessons learned in the field and with insights developed through rigorous research.

The workshop was focused on economics, legal and policy, mining and natural resource governance. How the communities benefits from the mining company  and the percentage of royalties paid for Indigenous Peoples. The facilitator/lecturer was Mr. Thomas Lassourd, and Ms. Rani Febrianti from the (NRGI).
