The ceremonial signing of Nationwide Development Corp.’s 5 Year Social Development Management Plan was recently held at SEDA Hotel, Abreeza Mall, in Davao City. NADECOR submitted the said document together with its Mine Project Feasibility Study as a requirement in line with compliance to Republic act 7942, otherwise known as the Mining act of 1995.

SDMP is a newly passed order requiring the mining companies to assist the directly affected areas or host communities attain development. The minimum amount required for SDMP projects is 1.5 of the company’s operating cost. Accredited activities include human resource development programs, livelihood projects, infrastructure projects, educational support programs, access to health services, and promotion to socio cultural values activities.
