To help protect the frontliners manning the checkpoints in the municipalities of Maco, Mawab and Nabunturan, APEX Mining Company continues to provide sanitizers, disinfectants to checkpoints along Maco, Mawab and Nabunturan. 

Even at the start of the imposed quarantine in the region, APEX Mining Co., has provided the frontliners the needed disinfectants to protect them from getting infection brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic.  It has  provided the necessary sanitizers, hand wash soaps, detergents and other disinfectants from week one when the checkpoint areas were established up to the present week.

APEX identified this provisions as one of its commitments in line with the realigned Social Development Management Program to help protect the frontliners manning and monitoring the movements of the people and vehicles coming in and out of the said municipalities. APEX ensured the availability of sanitizers and disinfectants considering that these items have become scarce when the pandemic started.

As of week eight in the distribution of said items, the effort has already amounted to P67,000 pesos. Other frontliners who benefited from this activity include the barangay health workers, barangay emergency responders and military and police officers.
